TrashTrek App Team Joins Cleanup in Piran

TZ Portorož, in collaboration with the local communities of Piran, Strunjan, Portorož, and Lucija, invited citizens to join the 'Together for a Clean Destination' cleanup action. As the peak tourist season ends, it's time to take a moment for nature and our community. Our goal was clear: to combine local action with technical documentation across three distinct routes.

Exploring the Circular Routes

• Piran Circular Path (9 km, 2.5h)This scenic route along the coast and through Piran's historic center was where our team actively deployed TrashTrek App. We documented every piece of forgotten waste, turning the walk into a meaningful data mission.
  
• Strunjan Circular Path (12 km, 3h)A more demanding route through Valeta tunnel and Strunjan Nature Park, offering some of the most stunning views of the Adriatic but requiring higher physical preparation.
• Seča Circular Path (9 km, 2.5h)A peaceful walk across the green peninsula, passing the salt pans and the Forma Viva stone park – perfect for those seeking tranquility in nature.

Proactive Preservation

For TrashTrek App, this wasn't just a community event – it was a proof of concept. By turning community effort into visible, structured data, we demonstrated how digital tools can empower localized action and ensure that no effort goes unnoticed.
